For years, the lens of Wing Shya has recorded the ambiguity, detachment and ultimate romance unique to Asia. This time, he not only picks up the camera but also becomes a cross-disciplinary curator, launching a special project named “EROS & AESTHETICA”.
This is an art experiment that breaks the boundaries of nations, media and convention. The project brings together leading photographers, muses and creators from around the world, weaving together photography, film, words and music. Beginning with 《色絢爛》, we look directly at humanity’s most primal desires and elevate them into the ultimate visual aesthetic.

For years, the lens of Wing Shya has recorded the ambiguity, detachment and ultimate romance unique to Asia. This time, he not only picks up the camera but also becomes a cross-disciplinary curator, launching the special project “EROS & AESTHETICA”.
Tim Gallo
Photographer
Tim was born in Russia into a multi-faith, cross-cultural family – his father a Buddhist, his mother a Christian. He has lived in Tokyo, Japan since the age of 18. His native languages are Japanese and Russian, and he also speaks some English.
His series of portraits of Japanese monks, shot over many years, is now in the permanent collection of the Kiyosato Museum of Photographic Arts in Yamanashi Prefecture.
His behind-the-scenes work from Japanese yakuza films has also been published in the British Journal of Photography.
Since 2012, Tim has worked in Tokyo as a celebrity portrait photographer.
A dialogue between masters: one aesthetic lineage
